Ms. Sandra L. Ross was born in Darlington, S. C. to the late Sandy and Mildred Ross. She has two sisters and three brothers. She is the mother of one son Shawn, grandmother of three girls, Meishauna, Marie, and Shante, and great grandmother to three, one girl Daniah, and two boys Jamari and Imir.
Sandra is a 1968 graduate of Mayo High School in Darlington, a graduate of Florence-Darlington Technical College with a certificate in Bookkeeping and the Morris College Ministerial Extension Program.
After thirty–four years at General Electric Company in Florence, SC, she retired and does a little bit of traveling occasionally.
At an early age, she became a member of Palmetto Missionary Baptist church in Darlington under the leadership of Rev. Dr. E B Burroughs and still is a member under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Jordan Hunter. She is an usher, a member of the Pastor’s Aid auxiliary and she is the Church Treasurer at Palmetto. She is also a member of the Florence Amicae Auxiliary under the leadership of -The Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
