Greetings to you my Sisters and Brothers:

Welcome to the website of the Women's Department of the Pee Dee Baptist Association.

Thank you for visiting our Website. We hope this site will be helpful to you concerning who we are and what we believe.

We are a fellowship of Godly women from Florence, Marlboro, Chesterfield, Darlington, Marion, and Williamsburg Counties who came together in 1910 with a mission to promote education and missions. Two years after Morris College was established, the good sisters formed this sisterhood to help make a difference in the lives of students who aspired to attend Morris College.

Today, one hundred years later, we continue to make appreciable contributions to Morris College, as well as Benedict College. In addition to supporting these colleges, we contribute to the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) each year. We make very viable contributions to the Baptist World Alliance in order to encourage our Baptist sisters who live and work in difficult places, and to become an integral part of an international network of prayer, witness and service. God has blessed us with a loving and growing district department. We are recipients of God's transforming grace in fellowship and ministry.

Mrs. Jeanette H. Scott was elected as the thirteenth president in 2015. She comes to this position ready to serve as she leads this vast body of Christian women.

The theme during her administration is "Godly Women providing love through Leadership, Obedience, Victory and Enlightenment.. She will continue to use the committee approach to plan and execute activities for the Department. In addition to the established committees, a Devotional Committee will be appointed to develop a Devotional for all people.

Helping others and reaching out to the un-churched will be her main focus. Her belief is that whatever God has allowed you to experience and learn should be shared with others.
